For Norma
The first work in the series is Reliquary + Nocturne, for Norma (2018).
The installation explores the legacy of my maternal grandmother’s relationship to her musical career and identity, set against the success of her sibling, who became second violin for the London Philharmonic and later in life came out as a transwoman.
